The Art of Outreach is a collection of fliers and zines focused on community outreach through art, music, and organizations. It is a sample of a Gainesville subculture that values expression and community involvement, spanning locations such as the Civic Media Center, Repurpose Project, Wormhole Books and Music, and UF School of Art and Art History, where an abundance of artists, musicians, activists, and other creatives can usually be found. This collection started with the inheritance of fliers and magazines that had been left behind, a reflection on assorted club meetings and advertisements from years past. In further curating the collection, I aimed to spotlight small creators in a present DIY scene that may be lesser known, but thrives with the involvement of passionate members.

PROMOTIONAL MAILER
To promote my collection, I designed and risograph printed a mailer that featured the objects of my collection and information about the curatorial process.

ZINE SCENE ZINE
With a reignited passion for zine-making, interest in DIY principles, and wanting to inform more people about the DIY community of Gainesville, I created ZINE SCENE: a zine about four local spaces to find community and zine culture. I hand drew, digitized, and risograph printed the zine for distribution.

STICKERS AND BUTTONS
Stickers and buttons further encourage the local community to support independent press and DIY activists.
